Calling all women who want to leave their curling irons behind and partake in the athletic ice event of curling, a favorite event at the last Winter Olympics.
In her pursuit to try every sport once in her lifetime, Tracy Chamberlain Higginbotham, Founder of the Women's Athletic Network and Women TIES, LCC along with at least 7 other regional women will learn how to Curl and then compete in a game against each other (we need 8 participants total). She has found women who participate in these athletic or adventure sports, bond and network in stronger ways which helps grow business and personal "ties."
The Women's Athletic Network and Women TIES "Curling Our Way Towards New Dynamic Bonds" will take place on Saturday, October 22nd from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Utica Curling Club, 8300 Clark Mills Rd, Whitesboro, NY 13492. At this cool experience women entrepreneurs will work on celebrating team dynamics, how to manage people, and test their skills on the ice, all while having fun. It is a two-hour ice adventure only made for the warm, yet icy-hearted and shrewd, women entrepreneurs.
The event includes the 2-hour instruction, beverages and snacks, an unforgettable experience networking with new regional women in business, and possibly a lunch afterwards at a restaurant close by (we will all determine this after the event is over if we want to network even more). All participants must provide proof of vaccination against Covid-19 to the Utica Curling Club.
The Monday following the event, as you go to curl your hair for your next business outing, you might think of curling differently, have new team skills, and the business cards of new women you met in your pink pocketbook.
