When I am not hosting my own sporting events, I love to media sponsor our women’s events including this one by Julie B. Hughes, Founder of the Run to Write Club Summer Sessions.

The first Summer Session, open to all women in the Greater Central New York Region, will be on Wednesday, July 17th starting at the Freedom of Espresso in Fayetteville. From there we run or walk for up to 30 minutes and then return to the cafe for writing and beverages. There is no cost to participate. Everyone pays for their beverage.

Did you know, that many accomplished writers understand a fundamental truth that aspiring writers often overlook: the actual act of writing is not the most challenging part. The real hurdle is finding the motivation and discipline to sit down and begin writing. Steven Pressfield calls this "Resistance" - the internal forces hindering our creativity. This insight resonated deeply with Julie B. Hughes, which is why she leads the Run to Write Club.

By joining together, we can find strength and accountability to confront the internal barriers that can obstruct our writing practice. You will meet some great women in the process.
